Better imagery for Romania on Google maps

Hot news from twitter: Google maps has (finally!) improved the map detail for Romania. There was lots of buzz around this issue a few months ago, with petitions on both twitter and Facebook to bring my country to the same quality level as other European countries. Thousands of people signed those petitions, and a lot of them were first time twitter users, as I recall.

Unfortunately, if you're hoping for the level of street detail you currently get from Yahoo! or Microsoft, you're still out of luck. Bucharest is still very sketchy and you can clearly see where the border between Romania and Bulgaria lies just looking at the map.
So, a nice move overall, proves the team from Google listens to it's (potential) customers, but there is a long way to go until these maps can help us navigate the roads and streets of Romania.
